Italian Sangria

This Italian Sangria recipe is my version of a refreshing summer drink. I keep it in my fridge to enjoy all summer long!

Originating in Spain, Sangria is traditionally made with Rioja wine, sugar, and fruits. I’ve tweaked it to suit my tastes and my Italian heritage.

I don’t like it too sweet, so no simple syrup or sugar. Instead I add just a hint of sweetness with Amaretto and a splash of orange juice. If you prefer sweet, but don’t want to use sugar, try honey or agave nectar instead.

Just a few simple ingredients and you’ll be enjoying this drink while you’re relaxing in your yard or at your next summer get together.Italian Sangria | Recipe | PaulasItalianKitchen.com
