Italian Bread Dipping Oil

Italian bread dipping oil and a crusty loaf of bread makes a great appetizer or a quick snack. It’s one of my favorite things to eat because I love bread and it’s not as full of calories as other cream- or cheese-based dips.

Combine the oil with the herbs and place in a small shallow dish. Tear off hunks of bread, dip it in the infused oil and herb mixture, and savor.

A variety of herbs and spices can be used. The quick and simple recipe below uses my favorite herbs. Be creative and come up with your own signature blend or try mine, pictured above (different mixture than recipe below, but very yummy!).

If you make a large batch, you’ll have extra. Use it to dress pasta, to season a salad, or as a meat marinade.
