It’s summer. For me that means fresh veggies from our CSA farm and plenty of fresh basil! Fresh basil means I can stock up on pesto. If you have fresh basil in your yard (or get it from a farm) and are running out of ideas of what to make with it, make some basil pesto.
It’s easy to make and oh so delicious. I use it as a spread for crusty bread, as a dip, and as a sauce for pasta. It’s an excuse to make pasta for supper that’s pure heaven – no meat, just pesto and cheese.
